The more we bring our voices together, the more likely we are to be heard!
Our phrase “Invisible Diseases” has become embraced and shared by millions of survivors, because that is exactly how they feel; invisible. We at Invisible Diseases help to bridge these communities and educate the world about them. Our efforts have been recognized and featured in several magazines and media outlets. We are proud to bring a voice to this community!
At InvisibleDiseases.com, we focus on specific Neuro-Immune diseases, and we call them “invisible” for two reasons:
1. The internal suffering that is experienced is not seen by others.
2. Current medicine does not know the exact testing, cause or treatment for these illnesses.
A diagnosis of ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), Fibromyalgia and Lyme can turn into, or may sometimes be a result of, a Dysautonomia such as POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.) These are the main neuro-immune diseases we focus on, though we embrace all people living with health hardships that the world cannot easily see.
Tell your truth. People will not help unless they know that you need it. We need to show our bad days as well as the good. Share your stories, share your lives, and use every talent and skill you have to do it!
Fear keeps us invisible.
Randy and Franky are partners in this business, and in life! They met in their early twenties and fell in love. Shortly into their relationship, Randy became bedridden. Franky invited him into his home and nursed him back to health. Then, after a routine ear surgery for Franky, something went very wrong, and Franky became bedridden. It was Randy's turn to care of Franky, as the couple both fought for their lives and started losing loved ones around them due to invisible diseases.
To help them survive, they started an arts and advocacy site called FaeFactory.com, which then led them to creating InvisibleDiseases.com. Their story has inspired countless people worldwide, and caught the attention of Rita Wilson, famed actress and wife of Tom Hanks. Rita featured their story on Huffington Post; written by Randy Ordonio, himself. Please take a moment and see the incredible story HERE!
Co-Founder and Executive Director
Randy oversees all major executive decisions and manages public communications. He began life with a passion for helping communities to thrive. As a teenager, he organized large-scale motivational entertainment events, with thousands of attendees. He graduated college with professional degrees in Culinary Arts management and Humanities. After running a thriving catering company in San Francisco, he suddenly faced a life threatening disease, which led him to discontinue his work in the culinary world. He became bedridden for over a year, totally dependent on his partner, Dr Franky Dolan.
Working towards healing, Randy began a new dream using his artistic talents and passionate heart toward health advocacy. His humanitarian work for InvisibleDiseases.com has served countless people worldwide. His love for complimentary healing practices also led to him becoming a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master. Randy is co-founder and Director for our parent site, FaeFactory.com.
Co-Founder and Resident Artist
Dr Franky Dolan has a doctorate in education and is a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. With a deep passion for enhancing the mind, he excelled in proficiency tests and began attending college courses by the age of 13. In childhood, he was homeless and survived many struggles beyond his years. He became ill with an “invisible” neuro-immune disease, and after a routine ear surgery, he was thoroughly bedridden; where he was spoon-fed and bathed by his partner, Randy Ordonio. His health has slightly progressed from totally bedridden to housebound.
Franky’s passion to help the world, despite his own suffering, earned him international attention and awards. His symptoms fluctuated in severity, and he pushed through as hard as his body would allow. Before he fell so ill, he was a professional performance artist who boasted a profound 5-octave vocal range, and had the ability to memorize an entire script in one day. Now, his art and writing have been featured in international publications, including his column with Huffington Post.
We will quickly get back to you!
